Privacy policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
AgentKnocks is made by Sidhant Sinha, an individual developer based in India ("we"). This policy covers the AgentKnocks app, this website and the beta waitlist. Questions go to [email protected].
The app
AgentKnocks runs on your Mac. When Claude Code or Codex runs one of its hooks, the AgentKnocks helper keeps a few facts about that event and discards everything else before anything is written to disk. It keeps:
- which agent sent the event, and the documented event name;
- the session ID (plus the turn ID for Codex) and the time;
- the working directory the agent reports;
- a few fixed details: the notification type, the tool name (such as
Bash), how the session started or ended, and the error type.
It never stores your prompts, the agent's replies, tool input or output (commands, file contents, diffs), transcripts, environment variables, credentials or tokens, or the contents of your config files.
This data stays in ~/Library/Application Support/AgentKnocks, readable only by your user account. History is kept for 30 days by default. You can choose 7, 30 or 90 days, or keep it until you clear it, and you can delete one session or everything at any time. The app has no account, analytics, crash reporting or telemetry, and it makes no network connections, so we never receive any of this data.
When you connect an agent, AgentKnocks adds its own hook entries to that agent's settings file, after showing you the change and saving a backup of the file in its own folder. Uninstalling removes only those entries.
If a future version needs to contact our servers, for example to check a paid licence, this policy will say exactly what is sent before that version ships.
This website
agentknocks.com is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and its fonts are served from this site rather than a third party. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site, and may give us aggregate traffic figures. If you pick a light or dark theme, the choice is saved in your browser and never sent to us.
The beta waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you joined. We also store which form you used, the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source=querymoat), and the domain of the site that sent you, if any, so we know which channels work. This is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider.
We use your address only to email you about AgentKnocks: your beta invite, the beta itself and the launch. We never sell it or share it. To leave the list, reply to any of our emails or write to [email protected], and we'll delete your entry.
If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
